YOUR ROLE
Squeeze is looking for a talented and passionate 2D Technical Supervisor to contribute to a 12-episode 2D TV series and become part of a creative and collaborative team!
As a Technical Supervisor, you’ll help define and oversee the technical vision of a 2D animated production, working closely with Production, creative leadership, artists, and Technical Directors. You’ll contribute to evolving and optimizing pipeline tools, workflows, and processes to address the project’s creative and technical challenges, ensuring effective solutions that support both the artistic vision and production needs.
You’ll play a transversal and structuring role across the production, providing technical supervision, troubleshooting, workflow optimization, tool development, and day-to-day technical guidance across key stages of the 2D pipeline, including Storyboard, Animatic, Animation, Layout, Compositing, and Editing.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand the project’s visual goals and design tools, workflows, and processes that enable artists to achieve them;
Implement and optimize 2D production workflows and pipelines to effectively support artists and production;
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the production pipeline, providing practical and efficient solutions;
Lead the development and improvement of the 2D production pipeline, tools, and processes;
Test and validate new tools and pipeline changes to safeguard artist productivity and ensure technical solutions meet production needs;
Contribute to the development and integration of AI-based tools and solutions that improve production workflows and efficiency;
Provide technical guidance and support to artists working with Storyboard Pro, Harmony, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Tools AI;
Provide technical support and troubleshoot character rigs, as needed;
Identify technical needs and opportunities to improve workflows, tools, and processes across the production;
Track and manage technical development initiatives, including estimates, scope, priorities, and schedules;
Prioritize and resolve high-priority technical issues, coordinating testing across departments to move solutions efficiently through the pipeline;
Prepare estimates, pitches, and plans for project-specific technical work in collaboration with Production and relevant technical teams;
Foster collaboration and create synergies between different work groups to drive efficiency, optimization, and innovation in ways of working;
Communicate technical information clearly and adapt communication to different audiences, including artists, Production, technical teams, and leadership;
Present technical solutions, workflows, and tools to teams, and produce clear documentation, including specifications, tickets, and status updates;
Work transversally across the production to ensure that technical solutions are aligned with artistic and production requirements.

YOU HAVE
5+ years of experience in technical supervision, pipeline, or a similar role within the 2D animation industry;
Strong technical expertise in Storyboard Pro and Harmony;
Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud tools relevant to 2D production, particularly Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro;
An excellent understanding of 2D animation production workflows, tools, and pipelines;
Experience implementing, optimizing, debugging, and troubleshooting production workflows and pipelines;
Experience developing tools and integrating them into production workflows;
Experience with AI-based tools and an interest in integrating them into 2D production workflows; training on the specific AI tools used in production will be provided;
Experience troubleshooting and providing technical support for character rigs, an asset;
Experience working across multiple departments within a 2D animation pipeline, including Storyboard, Animation, Layout, Compositing, and Editing;
Strong problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and risk-management skills;
Relevant education in Animation, Film, Computer Science, Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in 2D animation.
