Senior DMP artist- short contract- based in Quebec

YOUR ROLE

Squeeze is looking for talented Senior DMP artists to join our creative team. As a DMP artist, you will be responsible for building landscapes, sets, and virtual environments.
This is a short contract from May 20th until the beginning of July, for someone based in Quebec.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participating in pre-production meetings and exchanging creative ideas;

• Understanding the artistic vision of the Director, Art Director, or Creative Director;

• Researching visual references;

• Developing concept art;

• Creating stylized matte paintings and set elements;

• Collaborating with the production team (FX Supervisor, Lighting Artists, Compositing Artists, Shader Artists, etc.);

• Reporting creative or technical issues;

• Meeting deadlines and delivering the expected quality;

• Building a reference library;

• Working with Nuke for 2d & 2.5 projecting;

• Working with Maya for set dressing;

• Keeping up with technological advancements and innovations.

You are

• A talented artist with strong technical skills;

You have

• Demonstrated experience as a matte painter with a solid command of digital painting software such as Photoshop, as well as knowledge of 3D software for seamless integration;

• Previous experience in an animation studio or similar production;

• A strong ability to analyze and solve visual and technical problems creatively;

• A varied and impressive portfolio of matte painting work demonstrating a range of styles and technical skills;

• In-depth knowledge of the principles of composition, lighting, perspective and artistic design;

• Familiarity with Maya and Nuke software;

• Stylized portfolio for animation.
