Your mandate
Squeeze is looking for an experienced FX artist. The artist generates FX animation, procedural simulation, dynamic simulation, particle and fluid systems. They are responsible for lighting, rendering and moderate-level compositing of complex shots with guidance from their Lead and Supervisors.
Your main responsibilities
Design and create FX animation, procedural simulation, dynamic simulation, particle and fluid systems;
Set-up and wrangle heavy particle effects and enormous crowd shots;
Write/modify procedural surface shaders and volumetric shaders with proficiency;
Animate moderate objects with proficiency;
Learn new techniques quickly and easily and can debug just about anything;
Create feature film quality effects using Houdini;
Coach and mentor artists in new techniques and efficiencies.

You have
Relevant education related to the field of 3D animation;
5 years minimum extensive experience in the animated movie industry;
Solid compositing ability, working knowledge of Nuke;
Solid experience in visual FX of animated movie or VFX;
Experience with Houdini, Maya and Nuke softwares;
An artistic sense;
An ability to script the pipeline, a plus;
Experience with the Redshift render engine, a plus.
