YOUR ROLE

The PRM supervises the studio's creative resources. He structures and organizes the departments in collaboration with the Directors and Supervisors. He ensures that teams are properly composed and that seniority ratios are maintained by department, balancing the imperatives of performance and quality with the quest for productivity and profitability of teams and seniority ratios by department.


He/she plans optimal allocation of studio resources for current and future projects. He/she works closely with the Producer Supervisor, Directors and Department Supervisors. He/she ensures that the needs expressed by all production teams are analyzed in order to propose, in concert with the Directors and Department Supervisors, the most appropriate resources to deliver the expected quality standards, on time and on budget, and within the hiring constraints determined by General Management. He communicates impending hiring needs as quickly as possible, and updates hiring forecasts with maximum clarity and anticipation.

He or she is also responsible for allocating resources for downtime, and establishes strategies to minimize its impact and make the most of it (training, testing, special projects, etc.). in close collaboration with the financial analyst, who establishes and monitors budgetary guidelines, and the Training and Development Manager.



YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Human Resources Management

  • Identifies recruitment needs with Heads of department and supervisors and makes recommendations to the Head of Production - Executive Producer;

  • Analyzes team composition, strengths and weaknesses, seniority and recommends improvements;

  • Works with the Head of training and development to identify training needs to strengthen teams;

  • Manages teams in partnership with supervisors, managers and in collaboration with human resources to maintain a healthy and harmonious climate.

  • Assists with traction meetings with creative directors and CG director, and ensures follow-up and coordination of resulting files;

  • Monitor team well-being in conjunction with hod and supervisors;

Resources allocation

  • Receives and analyzes project needs and proposes the most optimal allocation of resources available to each department, taking into account time and budget constraints and the studio's profitability imperatives;

  • Transmits information to the resource coordinator to ensure impeccable crew planning and master planning at all times;

  • Participates in resource projections for future projects with the Head Producer and proposes various optimal scenarios to facilitate decision-making;

  • Finds solutions to resource planning conflicts;

  • Determines the nature of hirings: permanent, temporary, freelancers as well as extensions of temporary contracts, and determines contract terminations. Takes account of studio profitability constraints set by general management;

  • Identifies, in conjunction with the Training Manager and with managers and supervisors, the downtime to be devoted to ongoing training;

  • Makes recommendations to improve planning, information flow and communication between departments;

Follow-up of departmental budgets :

  • Question and pre-approve travel and mobilization requests made by department managers and forward them , with clear justification, to the finance team for final approval;

Inter-team communication :

  • Facilitates communication between departments and between projects and departments

  • Promotes a culture of collaboration and transparency

The PRM uses the tools at his disposal to improve processes and make them as efficient as possible.

Job requirements

YOU HAVE

  • At least twelve (12) years' experience in producing large-scale animation projects;

  • At least eight (8) years in team management;

  • A degree relevant to our industry

  • Very good knowledge of the production stages of 3D animation projects

  • Good command of Shotgrid, Excel
